  1. As a Marine, I deployed aboard the same Wasp -class amphibious assault ship, the USS Iwo Jima. It's essentially a transport ship for Marines. There should be no ammunition or ordinance on the ship while it's in port and under maintenance.

  2.  @jlock9085  I don't know. It could be fuel or the boilers, but I doubt if it was caused by an ammunition explosion. But that's just my humble opinion.

  3.  @pcb8059  No, it's not nuclear powered. It's not an aircraft carrier. It might look like one from a distance, but it's much smaller. It's more like a helo-carrier, among other things.
