The U.S. economy added a stunning 336,000 jobs in September, blowing past the 170,000 jobs forecast by economists. The data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics reflects a historically robust economy, with unemployment holding at 3.8% ā the 20th straight month of sub-4% unemployment. Unemployment is at its lowest level in 50 years. But the good news doesn't end there. The jobs numbers for July and August were also revised upwards by a cumulative 119,000 jobs. Wages continue to rise and outpace inflation. Wage growth came in at 4.2% year over year (compared to 3.7% inflation). All in all, there are more than 2.7 million more people employed today than one year ago. Also of note: the Bureau of Labor Statistics says, "Employment in food services and drinking places rose by 61,000 over the month. Thank you President Biden!! šš
