The FBI said in a charging affidavit that Reffitt, a 48-year-old oil worker from Wylie, Texas, first bragged about his trip to Washington, DC, to his family, saying he had filmed the riot on a GoPro-style camera. Upon learning of the FBI's investigation into the insurrection, Reffitt threatened toShootHisChildren if they turned him in to authorities, the affidavit said.   2. Now you would think that a group calling itself the "Freedom Caucus" would be all on board with supporting and signing a bill that protects your right to vote. But you would be wrong. Because the "Freedom Caucus" is actually anti-freedom, and anti-liberty. Republicans have always been masters of deception. The Citizens United farce is a perfect example. Because the Citizens United ruling has nothing to do with citizens, it's all about Corporate welfare and dark money. Conservatism constantly shifts in its degree of authoritarianism. Conservatives have no difficulty claiming to be the party of freedom in one breath, and attacking civil liberties in the next. Conservatism continually twists the language of conscience into its opposite. It has no choice: conservatism is unjust, and cannot survive except by pretending to be the opposite of what it is.
