Trump's tweet to the Iranian people should have read like this: "To the Iranian people, I have threatened your country since the beginning of my presidency. I pulled out of the Iran deal, I slapped your country with economic sanctions that have not hurt the Iranian regime, but have only caused the Iranian people hardship and suffering. And on multiple occasions, I have threatened to wipe you and your country off the planet. And I did all of this simply out of spite for President Obama."
