  2. If you were to rank all 45 American Presidents from best to worst, with #1 being the best, Trump would come in behind the president who finished last. I suspect that years from now, Trump will deny that he was ever president at all. He'll claim that it was all just fake news.

  3. Harold Bolin Trump's tariffs will accomplish nothing other than hurting American farmers, truck drivers, steel workers, and auto industry workers.  In fact it's already begun. No other president has done what Trump is doing because no other president has been as criminally incompetent as him. The nation would have been better if he had simply done nothing. But if Trump was so determined to go after China, he should have taken the time and effort to build a coalition of countries to go after China together as one. That would have put far more pressure on China, and would have yielded better results.  But unfortunately, Trump being the lunatic that he is,  has damaged the relationships with practically all of our allies.  Nothing makes Trump happier than not knowing what he's talking about. The less he knows, the happier he is. I never believed that you needed to be a genius in order to be president, but you should at least have a curious mind.  Trump is possibly the most intellectually incurious person I've ever seen.  He knows less than nothing, and yet he refuses to listen to the experts with years of experience in their fields. Instead of surrounding himself with highly qualified experts, he has surrounded himself with C and D list sycophants like Kudlow and Peter Navarro. His entire administration is filled with the most unqualified and unprincipled staff of  neophytes ever assembled.  It's a recipe for disaster.

  4. Harold Bolin Taking the lead doesn't mean you do it alone. It means that the US President, who is suppose to be the leader of the free world, works to put together a coalition of nations with one common goal, and then leads from the front. It's no different than when we built a coalition for Iraq, Afghanistan, and ISIS. But that takes diplomacy, statesmanship, temperament, leadership, and a clear vision. Trump has none of these things. Trump could never build a coalition of nations to deal with China, because he has insulted and alienated all of our allies, and for no reason at all.

  5. Harold Bolin China will simply move their supply chain for products like soy to South America. The danger is that American farmers may never get that Chinese market back once it's moved to other countries. They can thank Trump for that.
