  1. Trump's deal was a recipe for disaster from the start. The reason why is because Trump didn't cut a deal with the Afghan government or the Afghan people. He cut a deal with the Taliban alone. The Afghan government was left out of the talks. Trump was negotiating with the Taliban about whether or not to remove our troops, and NOT with the Afghan government, which was hosting our troops. It's almost as if Trump and the Taliban plotted against the Afghan people and the Afghan government. Why else would the Afghan government be excluded from the talks. Let that sink in for a moment.
