  2. What's so sad is that we don't even have a Secretary of Defense now. We use to have General Mattis, a highly decorated, universally respected Marine Corps General as our Sec of Def. Now we have Patrick Shanahan, a former Boeing executive as our "acting" Sec of Def. As usual, General Mattis was way too qualified, too honorable, and too principled for Trump's tastes, so he was replaced. Maybe Shanahan realized that he was not qualified for the job as Sec of Def, and if that's so, I salute him for having the integrity to step down. Or maybe he realized like many of us do, that Trump's administration is simply a ruinous dumpster fire, from which nothing good will flow.
