  1. In1994 assault weapons were banned here in America, and mass shootings like this decreased. But In 2004, the assault rifle ban was allowed to expire, and  since then, mass shootings have increased by more than 100%. That ban needs to be put back into place.. Other than being the preferred weapon of mass carnage for mass shooters, assault rifles and high capacity magazines serve no other purpose. Allowing such a weapon to be openly sold to the public is the height of Irresponsibility, and we've got the bodies to prove it.
