As we remember all of those who fought and sacrificed in WW2, and on D-Day, the longest day, we should also remember that on April 11, 2017, America watched as Nazis carrying torches goose-stepped down main street in Charlottesville VA, and they would eventually take an innocent life on that day. It was the exact same type of darkness and evil that our greatest generation fought against in WW2. The best way to truly honor them is to never forget exactly what it was they fought against. Forgetting is how history repeats itself.
