Have you ever watched a "first amendment audit" on YouTube? This police violence and rights abuses against law abiding citizens is not new. First Amendment auditors make videos in public spaces and document the responses from authorities. The reactions by the police are more often than not aggressive and infringe on the auditor's rights. The "a few bad apples" line is woefully inadequate in describing the police. I hope the protests continue until every city and town sees that there is more power on the side of the people than power on the side of the police. This revolution IS being televised.
