I like how Andrew Yang says that our privacy is tightly linked to our data. If we had control of our data, we would recover much of our privacy. Much of our data/privacy has been taken from us silently and without a fight by the big tech companies that we rely upon every day. We can do a lot online to re-take our privacy by using VPNs, privacy-focused email providers (such as Proton Mail), and privacy-focused browsers (such as Brave), and not using public wi-fi. There are small sliding guards that you can put on computer video cams to prevent snooping. And as to the government and our privacy, watch the movie Snowden or read his book if you want a chill to run down your spine. Out in public, we have absolutely no expectation of privacy, but we Americans do have the (fragile) right to unreasonable search and seizure in the fourth amendment of our Constitution. I believe that even "if I have nothing to hide" it is still my responsibility to protect myself from un-wanted snooping. We generally wear clothes, close the public bathroom door, and close our bedroom curtains for our privacy. I think we need to do much more. I'm in my 70s and it is amazing/stunning/interesting/frightening how the privacy landscape has changed in my lifetime. But I am not dead yet and I have not been lulled to sleep. I like to be vigilant but not paranoid. I know... it's a fine line.

@fgsaramago Filipe, if you dig deeper, you will see that Yang wants YOU to control your data. Sell it if you want to. Or keep it private if you want.
