  1. Pretty sure cache servers are in neighboring countries/regions, they're not geographically near to Russians anymore. Its probably not more expensive, like you suggest, there's simply a prioritization of geographically close customers. Ukrain was also a source of ad revenue, I doubt the invasion helps to produce more revenue now. If anything, taking Russians from their homes and pushing them into an invasion force probably drives less traffic toward YouTube. It's clear why there is less incentive to have business in such a region.

  3. May as well educate yourself to learn how to avoid relying on privacy invasive infrastructure. Even youtube "blocks" content, no different from book burning.
