  1. @ OP What is your take on reverse osmosis to purify water and remove plastics? Endocrinologists have some studies revealing immune system responses to plastics as a result of plastics interacting with cells or something equivalent to the micro/nano scale of cells. Pretty bleeding edge studies as of Mar. 2024, but wondering if RO device (preferably something portable like a water pitcher) is the way to go still and how to verify proper RO systems (NSF certified, 3rd party test results that may or may not come from less/poorly regulated countries, etc?)

  2. Well with recent studies, no water filter can stop microplastics or nanoplastics. I believe the only readily available consumer ready methods use reverse osmosis. Surely this video doesn't measure levels of plastics, as its a relatively new and hard-to-detect contaminant.
