  1. AS a new person to the tech workforce, I joined a company that had a lot of ex-Nortel U.S. employees. Heard several stories of the company paying for an entire ski resort for masses of employees, constant hirings in North Carolina Universities, etc. Money was no issue. I recall somebody I worked closely with explained how they had an international calling plans (or something to that effect) and the abuse of such a system when one person accidentally sent MBs worth of data across the network, the company never even bat an eye...
