You sound about right - could be also a sudden down draft took the plane down, hence, the hard landing and the cross wing push the plane sideways enough that the wing hit the snow bank and it came off and with that the aircraft rolled. Actually, these people were so fortunate. It is said these aircraft do roll over - FedEx has had a couple of similar situations.

  5. Watch the touch time some passengers are having with the string winds and look at the heavy wind taking that snow and blowing it right at the aircraft. Of course the wind first of all push the plane down and it made a hard landing and with the wind pushing the plane, the wing caught in the snow banks and the wing came off, it started to roll and then the tail hit and came off - the plane just rolled over. All happened so fast - God is good - He saved so many people. Thank you my God.
