(By the way, Gelernter is pronounced Ge-LAIRNT-er. I know because I took a computer-science course from Dan's father, David Gelernter, at Yale.)

  2. Dan Gelernter is one of David Gelernter's children. David Gelernter is a professor of computer science at Yale, and he was, long ago, a cool guy, but the Unibomber maimed him with a bomb, and he turned into a right-wing wacko. Very sad story.
