Hey, Dr. JC, are you going to post anything about the study from Brazil described in the March 18 issue of the Wall Street Journal, the largest randomized placebo-controlled clinical trial of Ivermectin in patients who had symptoms and a positive rapid-test and pre-morbidities like diabetes, lung-diseases, chronic cardiovascular problems, or high blood-pressure? Or have you already posted something which I missed? Unlike the very large study also in Brazil which you posted about a week or so ago, this one did not offer the test subjects any choice whether to take the drug or be part of the control-group (ie this one was randomized). And this one found no statistically-significiant benefit from the Ivermectin.

@stephenarling1667 Of course! But if that were a reason not to trust this one, then it would also be a reason not to trust any study on any controversial subject. Sure, we'll have to wait and see the actual paper, when it gets printed. But Dr. JC doesn't seem to have any problem talking about studies before that happens.

@christopherrobinson7541 But what about the other endpoints? The measured parameters were: hospital admittance (yes/no), length of stay, ventilation (yes/no), time on ventilator, time until clearance of virus (I assume by rapid test but that's only a guess), and time until resolution of symptoms. But as you say, let's wait for the final paper. (It drives me crazy when people let themselves become emotionally invested in this as if it were a sporting event or a political contest.)
