  1. When I was in college, I took a semester in Leningrad. One of the interesting bus tours was a tour of the neighborhood where Raskonikov lived. (Dostoevsky described the streets of Saint Petersburg Correctly and in detail.) A tour guide Pointed out of building and told us that’s where the old lady – the pawnbroker Raskolnikov murdered and robbed lived! So I asked: “for a few extra rubles can we go into the building and murder an old woman ourselves?“ The tour guide was very polite.
