  2.  @jackmeoff9299  The stupid part is imagining that a border hundreds of miles long can be secured at all. Most illegal immigrants crossed legally anyway, but didn't leave when their visas expired. There's really only one way to stop illegal immigrants and that would be to punish employers very severely for employing them. And that won't happen, because we need them. No one is serious about stopping them and if we did stop them prices would shoot up and no one would be able to afford food. De Santis has tried to impose a purely symbolic penalty against trucking companies which hire illegals, and the hispanic truckers are refusing to deliver in Florida.
