No, dear. Clarence Thomas is an Affirmative Action hire.

Many biologists would hesitate to define “woman” too. I know; my profession was in bio-science.

Very good. Now, try posting what she really said.

@wesleyashley99 That depends on what you were trying to achieve (on what your definition of "success" is). It was not correct, though.

In what context?

@loaded.357 No, what she said included the all-revealing line "... in this context? ..." That shows that she is thinking about the fact that the term "woman" means different things in different laws, depending on how the particular law defines the term "woman" in its "Definitions" section. And that is the point: It is part of a judge's job to avoid bringing a personal definition of a word into the courtroom; the definition may be different in different contexts, or defined differently by the text of the law itself, from what an ordinary Bozo or an uneducated, unrefined hick (like Senator Blackburn) might think it means. Regarding the sex-offenders: that accusation was based on one case, in which the defendant was himself barely over-age (19 years old) and the prosecutor only asked for a very short sentence. So the prosecutor in that particular case, not Ketanji Brown-Jackson, was soft on the crime.

@loaded.357 In 2019 she sentenced one to 29 years. Not months; years.
