  1. The money you send to the tax-man is not your money. It is the government's money. If it were your money, then you wouldn't have to send it to the tax-man. There is no such thing as money or property rights without laws to say what they are and a government to enforce the laws. Without a government, the words "mine" and "yours" would have no meaning.

  3. Biden is clever. He could have gotten the debt ceiling fixed during the lame-duck session. But he didn't. Now the Republicans will have to choose: EITHER be responsible for the worst financial disaster in human history, OR cave and face the wrath of their disappointed loonie base.
