  1. Worry about overpopulation is NOT “misguided”! It depends on perspective. From the point of view of the whole world, overpopulation is still a grave danger and a serious problem. Low birth rates are only a problem for the individual countries in which they occur. And they’re only a short term problem. Once the baby boomers, die off, it won’t matter that their successors are fewer in number than they were.

  2. There are plenty of scams which don't have these red flags! Like, say, crooked antique-dealers who forge fake antiques. They don't need money right away, and they don't go looking for you. The wait for you to come to them and sell you a worthless fake for a high price.

  4. Import more immigrants from low-tech, agrarian countries. For at least one generation they will continue having large families with many kids.
