  1. Worry about overpopulation is NOT “misguided”! It depends on perspective. From the point of view of the whole world, overpopulation is still a grave danger and a serious problem. Low birth rates are only a problem for the individual countries in which they occur. And they’re only a short term problem. Once the baby boomers, die off, it won’t matter that their successors are fewer in number than they were.

  2. Import more immigrants from low-tech, agrarian countries. For at least one generation they will continue having large families with many kids.
