I can explain the LK99 superconductor even more quickly. In fact, I can explain it in just two words: scientific fraud. I will bet anyone any amount of money that this will turn out to be at best an embarrassing error, and at worst a deliberate hoax. Probably somewhere in between.

@lachlantrescott5533 The theory may be sound. Whether or not it has been demonstrated by this experiment is an entirely different question. I'm not arguing that the theory is wrong. I'm saying that the claim that these authors have demonstrated it and actually made a room-temperature/ambient-pressure superconductor is false.
