  1. Israel should raze the site of the Al Aqsa mosque/temple mount, and build a synchrotron radiation light source on the site. Every nation which inspires to be a top-tier member of the scientific/tech innovation community should have its own synchrotron radiation light source on its own territory. The site dimensions are just about right, and the dome over the electron storage ring would resemble the dome which is there currently, and the gold in the dome would be useful for electronic and mechanical components of the light source. And then it would not be an epicenter of religious conflict as it is now. The experiments it would make possible would bring genuine tangible benefit to humankind. It would be a win win win win.

  2. White phosphorus? Why not mustard gas? Do you imagine that Israel doesn't have the capacity to produce mustard gas?
