  1. Masad Ayoob called it 'Everyman's Wondernine'. Glocks had not really caught on yet, and compared to Beretta and S&W offerings, the Ruger was a really good deal. I had a stainless Mk II, and the only issues I had was the long, spongy trigger and that low trigger guard, which noticeably pushed the trigger finger and second finger apart. I felt like it didn't let me get the good, high grip that I really wanted. I swapped for a Taurus PT92--another underrated classic of the era!

  2.  @wingracer1614  I sooo wanted a P226, but that price tag just laughed and laughed.. over $700 where I was.
