  2. Interestingly, most of the plinking .38 I can find is 130gr ball. It's easy shooting and I've always assumed it was made to the AF spec. Is this correct? Also, the most common .38Spl load of the day was 158gr, which IS quite a bit stouter than 130gr loads.

  4.  @jayzenitram9621  The 1911 was an option, in WWII at least. Crews quickly found out that the 1911 rusted shut fairly quickly in salt water (think ditching into the ocean), but the revolvers held out better
