  1. Actually, the chassis concept was pioneered by Kel-Tec in the '90s with the P11, then refined by Sig and now HS/Springfield. EDIT: It has been pointed out in the comments that the chassis concept originally came out of S. Africa. Thanks to everyone who politely and thoughtfully pointed this out.
