Ruger actually pioneered many modern casting techniques, and do casting for the aerospace industry--including high-stress jet engine parts. Given that Rugers are legendary for tank-like toughness, it would be interesting to see them try to develop an all-cast AK. I bet they could do it!

@0neDoomedSpaceMarine I would be really surprised if Ruger showed any interest in AKs, but it would be an interesting experiment--if only to hear AK purists screech!! ;)

@0neDoomedSpaceMarine True! *When done properly*, cast parts are just as good as forged; the 'doing it right' part is the kicker. Until someone like Ruger sees a benefit, we're stuck with dodging grenades that happen to look like guns.
