  1. Wasn't the change in twist actually dictated by the longer tracer bullet? It's my understanding (maybe from another of Ian's videos) that the SS109 was designed with machine guns in mind, so it's not quite optimal for rifles.

  2.  @jrnvrm  Thanks! I have read on more than one occasion that due to slight irregularities in the bullet construction, absolute accuracy was lacking over the M193 or other solid metal bullets; which, while not a problem with a machine gun, was noticeable in rifles.
