  1. As far as being 'too accurate', no matter how mechanically accurate a gun is, the bouncing around in full auto guarantees decent dispersion of fire. AND, the ability to place precise single shots is always a good thing in combat.

  2.  @tylersmith3139  Well said! Heavy machine guns were commonly regarded and employed as a form of artillery, due to the volume (if not necessarily weight) of fire they could produce.
