  1. Good video; I was not aware of all the features of this rifle. I remember reading some of Col. Cooper's musings about a scout rifle, and even though he approved of the Steyr Scout, it doesn't really fit what I understood Cooper to be envisioning. It seems that the Scout was to be an inexpensive, general purpose rifle with the greatest possible versatility--a 'One And Only Rifle', so to speak; like the 94 you showed. Either a sporterized military rifle with clip guide and fixed irons to back up the scope or a light hunting rifle with the sights and added stripper guide is what I thought of. Magazines can be lost or damaged, and the price of the Steyr Scout makes it a niche gun, IMO. Random thought: the magazine storage and the bipod made me think of the Kel-Tec SU16--maybe this was George Kelgren's inspiration for those features...
