  2. Maybe you missed it, the Fed has ALREADY raised rates 3 x, yet the economy keeps picking up steam. Mfg has been the fastest growing segment of the economy. Quite unlike in 2007 where the majority of US corp profits were from financial companies.

  6. I can certainly agree certain things helped the Crash. Like getting rid of Glass-Steagal back in Clinton's day. Although you cannot really blame that on Bill. The Gramm ( R - Texas) bill passed with a veto proof majority in Congress, it would have become law regardless of what Clinton did. GS / JPM and pals had collectively spent about $100 million lobbying over a decade before Gramm gave them their dream. Then NOBODY got in trouble for gambling and cooking the books!! Unlike the previous S&L Crisis, where the S&L's were taken over on Friday, and re-opened on Monday. In that fiasco several thousand 'banksters' went to Federal prison! The funny thing (not really ) is after the economy crashed Gramm said that Americans complaining about the Crash were "whiners".... Although GRamm made out JUST fine!
