Who thinks money grows on trees? What are you talkin about? 😃 where did you ever get an idea like that from? Did you make a mistake and comment on the wrong video? Of course money doesn't grow on trees. If it did it would have no more value than leaves. All wealth comes from mixing labour with capital. Anytime you have a dollar that goes to someone that didn't work, somewhere else you have someone who worked for a dollar that they didn't get. No one understands that better than Richard Wolff. You might want to check out a few of his textbooks on the subject.

The function of the United States government is to represent the owning class, not the working class. The United States government has been successful at maintaining unipolar control over the world economic system since 1945. The United States has about 4.5% of the world's population but uses up over 30% of the resources. And look at how low wages are in the United States. United States government has been extremely successful in maintaining an environment that allows corporations to maximize monetary profits. The richest 1% now has almost as much wealth as the poorest 91% of the American population. The two richest people, all by themselves, have almost as much wealth as the poorest half of the American population. The richest 1% lives on average 20 years longer than the bottom half of the population. And look at how effective they've been at destroying unions and other forms of collective bargaining. Thanks to the Effectiveness and efficiency of the United States government, there are billionaires out there right now making hundreds of thousands of dollars per second even while they're sleeping! Yeah, can't get much more successful than that! Maybe you're the one that's living on a different planet?
