  2. Also, if you're going to use State control as a measuring stick, then Venezuela would be a very bad example because most of their economy is in the private sector. My most of the economy and jobs are in the private sector, then we refer to that as capitalism. Not a good idea to use the least socialist country as an example. :-)

  3.  @PhanorColl  , well if you live in Venezuela then you should be well aware of how much of the economy is actually in the private sector. :-) I live in Canada and I know that the majority of the Venezuelan economy is in the private sector. Socialism is about worker ownership and control of the means of production and resources. Do the workers own and control their own Labour and resources and Venezuela? Not to my knowledge. Socialism is a bottom-up, non-hierarchical system. Are you not familiar with the Advent and evolution of the political Spectrum? After the French Revolution why did you have one group of people sitting on the left of the parliament and another group sitting on the right? Those who sat on the left were against hierarchies. All forms of hierarchy. Socialism falls under the umbrella of anarchism. The literal meaning of anarchism is without rulers. Therefore, to use the term State socialism, that would be an oxymoron. How can you have a non-hierarchical hierarchy?
