  1. 1) Laserdisc is not digital format, while technically similar to CD. It's analog video. 2) While SOME CD's do rot, it's just the reflective surface. The actual data is carved physically on the plastic disc, and should be possible to restore with modern technology, if we really want. 3) glass masters used to print CD's should in theory last as long as glass does.

  2. Everything we see around us and understand of the world is only a product our brain crafts from input by our senses. So by definition asking whether we have "free will" is pointless: The entire reality our will could affect is a product of the same sensory system. So free will isn't a part of the reality as we understand it. It is the existence itself.
