  1.  @bryceb3275  Purely capitalist model for basic education can't work, because it only benefits the entire society in the long run. Short term benefits of vast uneducated pool of cheap labour is way more beneficial for private enterprises. Who is going to pay that basic education, if not the society that benefits for it in the future?
