  1. In general: Population of country doesn't really matter. Larger population does generate GDP, but also means they need more of it to support themselves. If population of 6 million people produce 150 mrd gdp/year, it means if the production was didivided equally everyone in theory would have access to equal of 25000 /year. Of course it never is divided equally, which means for that average, country needs much higher GDP to support itself and it's people. Conversely, country with 60 million needs 10 times larger GDP! That's why many small countries in terms of population can have some of the highest standards of living on earth.
