I miss the old days, when you bought something used, the manufacturers (well, their vendors) didn't care, but were open to help you. Logically assuming once you WERE looking for new product, you'd come back favoring their products due to good experience. What happened to that? Why every company seems to assume that doesn't work anymore? Is the common rule that it's 10 times easier to keep old customer, than convert a new one lost on them?

@Kolket1389 Yea. It's ridiculous. It's OS. It's job is exactly the same as Win 95 had. To handle the GUI and bridging of software and hardware. There is absolutely zero reason for modern operating systems to be so massive and bloated as they are today. Their job is exactly the same.

@MauriceB-zn5pv This may be the reason. But I think it shows the weakness in the method. Data analytics can be useless to measure things not easily quantified. If you ask your known customers, it has a bias towords people who already like your new products. If you ask general public, most don't care that much anyway. If you ask about the service, I'd imagine it to be really difficult to draw a real correlation to a sale of a new product down the lne.
