  1. Package managers are evil. They're facilitating and encouraging an unhealthy level of third party dependencies. Not to mention all the harm they're doing to maintainability. The only good way to deal with third party dependencies is to minimise third party dependencies and own them all, maintain local forks.

And before you dare to disagree, ask the Horizon victims first, what they think of code monkeys who ignore mathematical rigour.
