  1. It makes sense though. Language inventors are not the best experts in their own languages. For them, a language will be one of many, played with and forgotten.

  2.  @mishavarsanyi5946  why is it a surprise for you? Language creators usually know and use tons of other languages. I built quite a few myself (some industrial automation DSLs, and such), and my users know the languages way better than I do, as I'm not dogfooding them too much, moved on to the other languages. I met a few of the major general purpose language creators, and witnessed them getting confused when asked about some tiny details of the language that practicing professionals would know well.
