@jolting indeed I do, but Tcl is not only EDA, Tcl/Tk is perfect for everything.

@jolting worse is better. Nobody is using it because the vast majority of developers are ignorant dimwits, not because the twisted crappy web stack is objectively better than Tcl/Tk for GUIs.

Competence exists. Talent does not. And competence is not nearly as important as people want to believe it is.

@ForeverZer0 I should have added that competence does not mater much above the certain point. Of course a dentist who does not know even the basics is useless. But some "10x" dentist who spend every weekend reading dentistry journals and training on stray cats is not any better than a regular average sufficiently competent dentist, and the real difference in their performance is in a way they're managed. A 10x dentist in a chaotic, undefunded practice is worse than an average one in a perfectly managed and well funded one.

Nah. I'm elitist af, I believe there are people who are immensely better in what they're doing than the others, that a lot of hard work can make you orders of magnitude more capable than those who did not put the hard work in. I do not believe that such a thing as "talent" exists.

@jolting we have Tcl for this. JS should have never existed.
1
@TestChannelWow-bh7ys JS ships shitty products, making its users suffer.

@jolting so, you're admitting you're a bad developer...
1
@sneed1208 the so called "back end" developers are not any better. Web is such a pile of overengineered, poorly designed standards and technologies that anyone touching it is getting infected with the fundamentally broken way of thinking.

"Talent" is a myth long debunked.

Skill contribution to the overall productivity is negligible. Proper management and communication matter far more than individual developers skill. You can take a competent manager and a pile of hafwit dropouts and they'll outperform an unmanaged team of Johnatan Blows.
