  2. You perceive education as some tool for training workforce. It's not. Higher education is producing Science. A feedback loop, feeding new scientists and thinkers into the system. Any other roles, including the effect on the economy and the general workforce are merely side effects, mostly unwanted. And for science elitism is not such a bad thing.

  3. One must have a below average intelligence, low level of education (or some very narrow education) and a few detrimental personality traits to be a conservative. Of course it makes them gullible and dumb in general.
