@mantikafasi being unable to roll back on boot fault is a Windows issue. It's an awful system design and it's unforgivable.

they're better described by the word "coders". There are orders of magnitude more coders than programmers.

@TheQu3tzalify there is nothing wrong with parsing on a GPU. Of course, no sane person will ever parse anything with regular expressions.
4
don't use windows for mission-critical anything. And don't allow any "anti-virus" scam anywhere close to your systems.
4
@violetwtf slow one, aren't you? A proper OS won't get into a boot loop, it'll roll back on a bootloader level, wiping out all the disruptive updates to root fs. It's 100% Windows fault here.
4
@herikaniugu not only. Everyone who is not a half wit and understand that programming IS math.
3
You can go old school and stick to cygwin or mingw.
3
@khuntasaurus88 there is 0 reasons to ever use office or any similar suite. If you find yourself reaching to any of the office-like tools, stop and think, you're solving a wrong problem.

@RodChar49 who in a sane mind would use Wayland for anything at all?

With such an easy way to reproduce, there's no need for a whole long month. It's already busted...

So, these are the baseline engineers the "10x" are compared to? Makes sense.

The delusion of people claiming some.perceived "ease" of the abominable Python is appaling.
1
Still no confirmed quantum supremacy. They compared a quantum solution vs. the most inefficient brute force, while there is no proof that it's any better than heuristics (which are still faster on classical computers).
1
Should have learned OpenCL and Vulkan Compute instead.
1
@anshulsharma9424 and it should not be a problem in an immutable OS on an append-only root fs.
1
@IntensiverPinguin and who cares? Bootloader must revert to a previous kernel and a previous state of the rootfs.
1
Python-like - hard pass. Nothing worthy csn look like the abominable Python.
1
@vidal9747 these people,.who need python, they are useless anyway and will not produce anything of a value
1
Low-code is still code. No-code is still code. No way around.
1
@GoogleDoesEvil windows cannot work off a r/o root, and there is no append-only fs for Windows (which is strange, giving the VMS legacy - Spiralog would have been a natural addition).
1
@GoogleDoesEvil what I meant to say, an r/o root + overlay fs on top. There's no overlay equivalent for Windows.
1
How "no-SQL" databases are new? Pretty much every single model they use existed long before relational model appeared. Document, hierarchical, graph databases - they are all from late 60s-early 70s.

I had some hopes for.LK99 for about an hour and until I read the papers carefully. Just another expected disappointment.
