  10. I grew up in the 50s and 60s and I remember even in the 70s being able to just walk in to High Street Jewellers and browse at will. They had cctv cameras but that was it. First Motorbike was a BSA with NO ignition key, just a switch. Really sad nowadays

  39.  @Inge-99  Did you manage by any chance to read Imam Mohammed Tawhidi's "The Tragedy Of Islam", or any of Ayaan Hirsi Ali's books such as "Prey", "Heretic", or "Infidel" ? ? I have ex-ahmadi muslim friends who have spoken a lot about the LACK of any Reformation having taken place being at the heart of WHY Theology, Jurisprudence, and Civic DUTY are all still ONE and run SO deep in the psyche. Reading just how DEEP and how FAR that runs and fuels Dawah, just leaves me in tears FOR muslims, and utter despair for wherever they take that mindset, as the result is always tragically the same.

You have my very sincere admiration and deepest respect that you actually FEEL it in your bones, and not as some abstract "idea". One of ny very earliest schoolfriends was the daughter of two LOVELY, warm and kind parents who BOTH had tattoos on their forearms. Hannah's lovely Dad had come through Auschwitz, her Mum survived Belsen. I feel both privileged and humbled to have known both of them, and in a way I am glad they did not live to see our current APPALLING betrayal of their memory on our streets of London
