I agree on shame on the pet owners. They probably thought oh the cat can live by itself and fetch for itself so it'll be okay. I am glad the rescuers were able to give him a good one and give him medical treatment! I actually got a story. There was something that happened during the lock down for covid. A friend of mine has a huge open space behind his house. He started to see a cat come to his yard behind his house. At first he shooed it away. Then it came back and back again. He approached the cat of course it was skittish. He realized it was a cat that needed some TLC and a vet check up. So during the lock down he started feeding the cat daily. Day by day the cat just kept coming back. My friend managed to get closer and bond with the cat. Within time my friend was able to pet the cat and then capture it. He took it to the vet to see if it was chipped and to see if the cat had any medical problems. The cat was not chipped and everything health wise came back clear. He posted flyers around the neighborhood and posted to social media. No takers. He adopted the cat. He chipped the cat too. He already had 2 indoor cats of his own. Surprise the indoor cats got along with the new cat. He named his cat Q for quarantine because of covid. It was really really cute. He kept posting to social media of all the events that took place day by day. Q loves his home. He waits for his owner to get home and gets lots of love.

@whanethewhip They could have easily called this rescue group that rescued the cat. Did they? Nope. We would have heard about it. I don't believe ALL rescue or animal shelters would have rejected this cat. That is just BS talk. Dogs should be indoors yeah. As far as cats go, I would advice to keep cats indoors because there are so many high risk factors for a cat to be outside (wild predators, cars, fights...etc).

@truthoverlies6434 so essentially you kill a perfectly normal healthy animal each time you leave?
