  1. I thought everyone would have recognized that in 2016. Guess that shows my age, doesn't it? Even Eisenhower, the far right at one time, was a lot closer to that than today's corporate Democrats. He was the first president I was old enough to remember clearly. He said a president would have to be insane to dismantle any of the FDR policies.

  2.  @RhinoXpress  Today's Democrats would have been far right Republicans in the 1960s or even in the 50s. That's why so many boomers blindly vote Democrat. Believing themselves to be voting for FDR style is a comfortable and powerful motivator. Older Republican voters often have no idea what kind of Republican party they are voting for.
