We need to start prosecuting presidents when they engage in criminal acts.

Not prosecuting tells future Presidents they can get away with anything. It's a hard question to answer because you have pros or cons no matter what you do.

@glowaves The problem is they no longer work for us. They work for a few wealthy donors. You could say they are only following orders. Maybe the donors should go down with them. That's unlikely to happen but I guess fewer people would be willing to do the bidding of the donor class if they were looking at the possibility of prison as a result. The Supreme Court Justices need to be held to the same standard if not a higher one. They are bought and paid for too, most often by groups like The Federalist Society and DLC. If we want to get it right every person engaged in government at any level should be open to prosecution if they step outside the law. Corruption needs to go back to being illegal or we could make it a thing of the past if we distributed a set amount of public money to every citizen regardless of the person's financial situation. That money would be to donate to what candidates or parties that person sees fit. The government doesn't lose money in doing it this way. It goes directly back into their hands. The only difference is they spend it on elections instead of the usual weapons of war. No one gets favored over anyone else because everyone has the same amount to donate. Since private or corporate wealth would no longer be used by the politicians in any personal context we would see an end to lobbyists and no one would go into public service in order to become wealthy. Since there would no longer be special favors offered to the elite they wouldn't even be able to become wealthy giving boring speeches to Wall Street after leaving office. Obviously I've somewhat had it with our legally corrupt political system. It's time to get the private money out of the system.

@Wanderer25 If not before. There were a number of problematical Presidents in the history of the country.

Maybe the best course of action would be to leave it to the NYC FISA Court.

@L98fiero I don't know if there were any who could have been. I don't know what the laws were at different times in our history. Legally things have changed dramatically just within my lifetime.

@paga12621 I don't even know him and don't expect that to change.
