This technology has the potential to be more convienant and practical than a full helicopter along with permanently based and trained helicopter crew Helicopters require an immense amount of maintenance and apparatus to maintain them, house them, fuel them, the people who need to be trained to use them etc. Regardless it would be very unwise to try and discard this new technology before it even has been used especially since the professionals want to try this new technology
