He got 10 years, did a lot worse than her, is an ex-con, plead not guilty and was rearrested for violating the conditions of his bail.

@BlissBee he's done a lot worse than her, read up on the story, don't just take it at face value
8
You don't know what a double standard is. Read up on the story, don't just assume gender is the only reason and stop there.
7
Yes, btw he got 10 years, not 15. If you bothered to look up the story instead of taking it at face value you'll see why he got that 10 year sentence too
5
She pleaded guilty, that's why she got a deal. He pleaded not guilty and was on camera tazing a woman for not complying with his unlawful instructions. He also has a big record, including impersonating a police officer, repeat offenders get harsher sentences. Come on man keep up
4
It's not just about the same crime, he's done a lot more to get that harsher sentence. He was convicted of impersonating a police officer, he tazed the woman for not following his unlawful orders, a form of torture, and when they were both released on bail he was rearrested for violating the conditions of his bail. He was dangerous, far more willing to use force and torture when he knew what he was doing was illegal, that's why he got the harsher sentence, which was 10 years btw not 15.

Read the story, don't just make up your own reasons
2
No, he did a lot worse than her along with other factors
2
He was previously convicted of impersonating a police officer, tazed the woman for refusing to get up, told her she didn't have any rights and was just property, fought the charges against him and was rearrested after violating the conditions of his bail
2
Yes people get punished based on the severity of their crimes and conduct, that's generally how it goes.
2
No, he's done a lot worse which is why he got a 10 year sentence
1
He did a lot worse than her. Gender equality pertains to doing the exact same actions.
1
Don't be stupid, look up the reason why.
1
He got 10 years, and got it because he did a lot worse than her.
1
Look it up, he's done a lot worse than her, and got 10 years for it.
1
No
1
@Mr.paint123 no you've just not read up on the case so you're making up your own reasons
1
He did a lot worse than her, and got 10 years
1
Do you know what "law abiding" means? Crossing state lines and operating illegally as bounty hunters is not law abiding, nor is tasering someone for wanting the police to be called
1
He did a lot worse than her, so he got a harsher sentence. Not everything is about gender
1
@ernestnelson2407 and Lozier tazed the woman on the ground for not getting up, a form of torture, and told her “I own you. No civil rights. You’re property” which obviously clued the jury into his mental status. Lozier is also an ex-con, having been convicted of impersonating a police officer, he was released on bail and rearrested a year later for violating the conditions of his bail, namely carrying a firearm and continuing to work as an illegal bounty hunter, all while pleading not guilty. He was clearly a danger to society, so he was locked up.
1
He got 10 years and he's definitely not winning the appeal. His rap sheet and conduct is abysmal
1
He's done a lot worse than her, if you're a bigger danger to society you get a harsher sentence.
1
@freddy7324 no, but that's not the whole story.
1
No, she got 5 years probation because she pleaded guilty. Lozier on the other hand was out of control
1
He did a lot worse than her, so he got a 10 year prison sentence. Equality is about being treated equal for the same actions, not different ones
1
@concernedrn2844 and she pleaded guilty, receiving a deal of sorts in return. Lozier on the other hand was the one who tazed a woman for staying on the ground as she was asking for the police, which is a form of torture, he told the woman that she didn't have rights and that she was property, which told the jury about his mental status. He is an ex-con, having been previously convicted for impersonating a police officer. He pleaded not guilty and fought the charges and most crucially when they were both released on bail Lozier was rearrested for violating the terms of his bail, namely carrying a firearm, leaving the state and continuing to work as an illegal bounty hunter. So he got a 10 year prison sentence, you think that's sexism?
1
Loads of factors, take a look into the story.
1
Look it up, he did a lot worse than her so he got 10 years
1
Because he did a lot more than just that crime.
1
Maybe you should look up why instead of letting your bias take over.
1
Don't be stupid
1
He got 10 years and did a lot worse than her
1
Don't be stupid, he's doing hard time because he did a lot worse than her
1
@dh2392 no it's not revealed, but one would think they'd do a bit of background reading on the case before they jump on the "sexism" bandwagon. Fact is Lozier had a laundry list of reasons and factors resulting in a harsher sentence while Sullivan didn't and pleaded guilty. That's not sexism, that is judgement based on your actions and conduct, which is what the justice system is supposed to do.
1
You don't know what it is, for God's sake look up the reason why before you jump to thinking you're oppressed.
1
Because he did a lot worse than her, and he got 10 years. Don't assume everything is sexism, it's disengenous.
1
Except they didn't do the same thing, he did a lot worse than her, don't let your bias stop you from doing actual research.
1
Don't be stupid, you're assuming it's sexism when you should be reading up on why he got 10 years prison time.
1
He got 10 years, because he did a lot worse than her
